This should be called the “Look Up the Word By the Way It Sounds” App but that does not make for an attractive title! We understand how frustrating it is when you have a misspelled word, then the spellcheckers only suggestion is…no matches found…?!?! We are working hard everyday to make sure we have a match for your misspelled word!

How to find your word phonetically with our App. Type the first 2-3 letters that YOU think your word starts with into the search bar. If there are too many choices…add a 4th or 5th letter to narrow your search.


•Dictionary portion has very brief definitions to help you quickly understand the meaning of the word.

•Cross-Reference is Automatic if your word sounds or is spelled like another word.
Cross-Reference Examples:

•petal/ pedal/ peddle
•carrot/ caret/ karat/ carat
•immigrant/ emigrant

•Suffix Speller – root word listed along with all word endings spelled out for you.
Suffix Example for ‘mad’:
mad = madder, maddest, madden, maddening, maddeningly, madly, madness

•Prefixes listed along with their definition.
Prefix Example:
satisfied = dis (for dissatisfied) un (unsatisfied)
